He advocated for using local currencies to reduce dependence on the U.S. dollar and called for innovative financing mechanisms to support developing nations. El-Sisi highlighted Egypt’s focus on renewable energy, manufacturing, and digital transformation, with the Suez Canal Economic Zone positioned as a global investment hub.
This summit, Egypt’s first as an official BRICS member, underscored its intent to deepen ties with emerging markets and enhance Africa’s economic integration.
El-Sisi stressed the importance of sustainable development, food security, and climate action through enhanced collaboration within BRICS, aiming to position Africa as a central player in the global economy.
