At the BRICS Summit in Kazan, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s strategic role in fostering economic cooperation and attracting investment.

He advocated for using local currencies to reduce dependence on the U.S. dollar and called for innovative financing mechanisms to support developing nations. El-Sisi highlighted Egypt’s focus on renewable energy, manufacturing, and digital transformation, with the Suez Canal Economic Zone positioned as a global investment hub.

This summit, Egypt’s first as an official BRICS member, underscored its intent to deepen ties with emerging markets and enhance Africa’s economic integration.

El-Sisi stressed the importance of sustainable development, food security, and climate action through enhanced collaboration within BRICS, aiming to position Africa as a central player in the global economy​.
