Lagos, Nigeria – President João Lourenço of the Republic of Angola was honoured with an official reception at Al Alam Palace on Thursday during his visit to the Sultanate of Oman. The ceremonial welcome underscored the strong diplomatic ties between Angola and Oman, highlighting mutual interests in fostering bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

The reception was hosted by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, who warmly welcomed the Angolan leader. The two heads of state engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing collaboration in trade, investment, and cultural exchange, reflecting their commitment to strengthening the partnership between the two nations.

President Lourenço’s visit to Oman comes at a time of growing economic and political engagement between Angola and the Gulf region, as Angola continues its efforts to diversify its economy and attract foreign investment.
