The championship features teams linked to international stars including Will Smith, Tom Brady, LeBron James, Rafael Nadal and Didier Drogba, giving both the event and its host city significant global exposure. Smith travelled to Angola to announce Luanda’s addition to the championship.

His Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola team arrived in Luanda second in the championship standings with 110 points, nine behind Team Brady. Its association with the Visit Angola brand turns every race into an international platform for promoting the country.

The E1 championship is more than a sporting spectacle, it combines entertainment, clean technology, tourism and the blue economy. Its futuristic electric RaceBird boats, driven by mixed-gender pilot teams, reinforce Angola’s ambition to be associated with innovation and sustainable development.
