U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris voiced strong opposition to peace proposals for Ukraine that involve Kyiv conceding territory to Russia, calling them “dangerous and unacceptable.” Speaking alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington, Harris condemned the idea of forcing Ukraine to capitulate, aligning such plans with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s agenda.
During the visit, Zelensky secured additional U.S. military aid and a commitment from President Joe Biden to continue supporting Ukraine until the end of his term in January 2025. Biden emphasized that U.S. support would remain steadfast, regardless of upcoming political changes.
