The Egyptian government has proposed a 48-hour ceasefire in Gaza, aiming to negotiate the release of four Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. The initiative seeks to pause the ongoing violence and facilitate humanitarian aid delivery to heavily affected areas.

Despite diplomatic efforts, Israeli military strikes on Sunday, October 27, resulted in at least 45 Palestinian deaths, with most casualties reported in northern Gaza.

Egypt continues to push for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, emphasizing the need to protect civilians and restore stability to the region.
